What Misk is
Misk is four Arada apartment buildings, Misk 1 to Misk 4, each nine storeys tall. The name is also written Al Misk, and many people search for it as Musk (مسك, the Arabic word for musk). Homes run from one to four bedrooms, and there are penthouses. There are no studios.
An earlier version of this page described Misk as “budget studios from AED 400,000” with a 9% yield. That was wrong on unit types and had no source for the price or yield, so it has been removed.
All four phases are sold out at developer level. In March 2021 Arada said four Misk blocks would be handed over “in the coming months”. The exact handover dates were not published, but the buildings are lived in today, with homes offered for rent and a Life Pharmacy operating in Misk 1. Arada has not published the total number of homes.
Where it sits
Misk is not part of Naseej District. Naseej is exactly 19 buildings: Tiraz 1–8, Sokoon 1–5, Il Teatro Residences 1–2 and the four Vida buildings. Several sites place Misk inside Naseej; they are wrong.
Misk is one of three retail parking areas named in the Parkin scheme that began on 15 July 2026. Retail parking at Misk, Tiraz and The Boulevard is free for the first two hours, then AED 10 an hour. Other rates are AED 6.30 an hour on-street on East Boulevard and AED 4.20 an hour in off-street lots from 8am to midnight.
Around Aljada, as of 30 September 2026:
- Madar, the free family district designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, has been open since February 2020.
- Il Teatro, the Tadao Ando theatre in Naseej, is under construction and targeted for 2027.
- Madar Mall is targeted for December 2028.
Living there
On Reddit in October 2025, a family moving from Dubai asked about Misk buildings and maintenance. A new Misk resident replied that it was the first place in the UAE where they felt at home. Another said the only issue was traffic. These are individual accounts, not a survey.
Prices and rents
No launch price for Misk has been confirmed, and no Misk-only resale average is published. For context across all of Aljada:
- Bayut sale listings on 30 September 2026 asked from about AED 1.235 million for three-bedroom apartments.
- Bayut’s August 2026 index puts Aljada three-bedroom apartments at AED 1,011 per sq ft and four-bedrooms at AED 1,276 per sq ft.
- For rent, one 1,250 sq ft two-bedroom in Misk was listed at AED 85,000 a year on Bayut on 30 September 2026.
Who it suits
Misk suits larger households who want three or four bedrooms, or a penthouse, in an established building rather than a newly handed-over one. It does not suit anyone looking for a studio; Tiraz is the place for that. For a newer building in Naseej, compare Sokoon and Il Teatro Residences.
