Is parking free in Aljada?
No. Since 15 July 2026 Parkin, Dubai’s parking operator, has run paid parking across Aljada under a partnership with Arada. It is Parkin’s first contract outside Dubai (Arada).
Some parking is still free: the first 2 hours of retail parking at The Boulevard, Tiraz and Misk, the bays residents already own, and, according to BOUNCE, the parking in front of its trampoline park (bounce.ae, checked 30 September 2026).
Aljada parking fees
| Where | Fee | Paid hours |
|---|---|---|
| East Boulevard, on-street | AED 6.30 an hour, including VAT | 24 hours |
| Off-street lots | AED 4.20 an hour | 8am–midnight |
| Retail parking at The Boulevard, Tiraz and Misk | First 2 hours free, then AED 10 an hour | Not published |
Source: Arada, 15 July 2026, also reported that day by Gulf News, Khaleej Times and The National.
What that means for a typical visit: two hours on the street on East Boulevard costs AED 12.60, two hours in an off-street lot costs AED 8.40, and two hours at The Boulevard, Tiraz or Misk retail parking costs nothing.
Zones S2, SP1 and SP2
Parkin’s subscription listing names Aljada as Zones S2, SP1 and SP2, with 3-, 6- and 12-month plans (Parkin). We could not read the subscription prices: the page body did not load when we checked, and neither Arada nor the press has printed them. Parkin has not published a map showing which streets and car parks fall in each zone either. If you searched for an “Aljada parking code”, these three zone names are the only codes Parkin has published for Aljada so far.
How to pay
Aljada’s paid parking is ticketless. Cameras read your number plate (automatic number plate recognition, or ANPR), so you never take a paper ticket (Arada).
- Park in a marked bay and read the sign to see which tariff applies.
- Pay through the Parkin app or Parkin’s other digital channels.
- For problems or questions, call Parkin on 800 7275.
We have not seen an SMS payment code for Aljada in any published source.
If you live in Aljada
Residents keep the parking bays allocated in their sale and purchase agreement (SPA) or title deed, and manage their subscriptions on Parkin’s platform (Arada). Launch coverage adds that extra bays are paid (Khaleej Times), and Arabic coverage mentions subscriptions and seasonal permits on the same platform (Al Khaleej). In practice, a second car without its own bay pays the hourly tariff or needs a Parkin subscription.
Visiting Madar, the skate park or Zad
This is the gap nobody has filled. Arada has not said whether the Madar visitor lots are paid, or which tariff applies, and its Madar page gives no parking information (Arada, checked 30 September 2026). Listings that still promise free parking at Madar, such as Wanderlog, were written before Parkin arrived. Read the signs and check the Parkin app. Hours and prices for the venues are in our Aljada Park guide and food trucks guide.
The Aljada Sports Park, with handover targeted for the end of 2026, is planned with two floors of underground parking (Arada).
Valet parking
Nest Hotel lists valet parking among its facilities (Arada, 15 December 2025). We found no other published valet service in Aljada.
Fines and holidays
Neither Arada nor Parkin had published a fine for unpaid parking in Aljada by 30 September 2026, in any source we read. No Friday or public-holiday exemption has been published either. We will add both here once they are confirmed rather than copy Dubai’s rules, which may not apply.
How big the system will get
Parkin will manage up to 9,900 spaces in Aljada between 2026 and 2030 (Arabian Business). About 3,500 are on-street and off-street bays, with about 1,400 due to be live by the start of Q3 2026. The other 6,400 or so are inside buildings, with about 400 due by the end of Q2 2026. These were targets at launch; nobody has published how many are live today. Expect more bays to become paid as the rollout continues, so check the sign even where you parked for free before.
